Hello everyone! Today we continued our discussions on the Great Depression. During the first half of class, we analyzed the causes, conditions, and impact of the Dust Bowl. The second half of class we discussed President Franklin D. Roosevelt's ability to gain confidence in his New Deal programs by his usage of the radio. We listened to FDR's first Fireside Chat and analyzed it.
For homework, you are to read the packet on American responses to FDR's first Fireside Chat. Please complete all of the questions within the packet and be prepared to discuss during the next class. The next lesson will focus on specific New Deal programs during the presidency of FDR. Have a great day!
