APA: Ford and Carter Years

Hello everyone!  Today we analyzed the presidency of Richard Nixon and the impact of the Watergate Scandal on his administration.  For homework, please read Chapter 24 Section 3 in your textbook and complete the worksheet on the reading.

Furthermore, I will not be in class on Thursday.  The substitute will be given work for you to complete during class.  You will be reading Chapter 33 Section 2 and 4 within your textbook.  Both readings are about the domestic and foreign policies of Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush.  I expect everyone to be working on this within class.  If you do not finish, the remainder of the assignment must be completed for homework.  I will check this homework on Monday's class and move onto our last topic:  Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush (including the War on Terror).

Good afternoon everyone!  I hope everyone had a great time at Relay for Life!  Yesterday we analyzed and debated whether the atomic bomb should have been used against Japan during World War II.  Furthermore, we analyzed the development of the bomb.  Please remember that your test is on Thursday.  We will not have a study day for the test.  I have handed out the study guide, but you are not required to hand it in.  However, I do encourage you to complete it for our test.

APA: Voodoo Macbeth

Hello everyone!  Today we discussed the impact of escapism on Americans during the Great Depression.  We analyzed the impact of radio and theatrical shows on Americans suffering during the economic crisis.  We also discussed Federal One, a program through the Works Progress Administration (WPA), and how it helped unemployed artists, writers, musicians, actors, and dancers find jobs during the time.  We specifically looked at the National Theatre Project as an example.
