New Deal
Hello everyone! Yesterday we discussed the differences in the philosophies of Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt. We also discussed background on Roosevelt's New Deal and the impact of his fireside chats. We specifically analyzed Roosevelt's fireside chat on the banking holiday and his plan of reopening the banks.
For homework, you have two assignments. First, you must finish your research paper and hand it in to me during class. Remember to look over the rubric that I handed out to ensure that you know what I will be grading you on.
Second, you must fill out the worksheet regarding the New Deal policies. You must research (in your textbook and on the Internet) the various policies and the problems they were intended to solve. I will be checking it tomorrow morning.
Please email me with any questions that you may have. Have a great day!
